• Our open hours of operation are shortened slightly Monday-Thursday going from 8a-5p to 11a-5p. Friday is still 8a to 5p, and Saturday is remains the same from 9a to 1p.

  • All IA therapists are working remotely beginning Monday, 3/23/20

  • For now, we are staffing our office with 2 Intake Coordinators and 1 Counselor per day for a half-day on-site per Counselor for the children in their caseloads.

    • IA is doing remote sessions exclusively with adults and adolescents via:

      • Telephone or

      • Skype for Business (SfB)

      • Even though the governor has relaxed HIPAA regulations during the COVID-19 crisis, we will not use FaceTime unless—1) Clients have no computer or no computer with a camera and 2) prefer to see their counselor rather than doing a phone session. We prefer to remain in HIPAA compliance as often as possible.

      • We are offering a guest computer at IA for:

        • clients who have no computer but wish to use SfB to see and remote to their counselor at the counselor’s home.

        • With children at home it is also difficult to do private sessions as well, so this also allows us to provide a private setting to do your session.

        • Our staff will sign Clients into sessions on SfB.

    • Very young children who need play therapy can come to our offices and we are staggering our counselors by having only one of them for half day each in the office for child therapy. What this means is that there is only one client or client family in the waiting room at one time. We will do this until further notice.

    • Referrals are made through normal channels by our partners via designated emails for our offsite locations.

    • All door knobs, chairs and toys are disinfected between clients.

    • In the event you have relatives in Texas who need services during the COVID-19 crisis, IA is able to offer our Victim Assistance Program which gives FREE services to abuse and violent crime survisors, as long as these are the issues a client wants to process. Our grant funds service to over 13 counties: Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Colorado, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty, Matagorda, Montgomery, Walker, Waller, & Wharton.

    • IA can take all major insurance, Medicaid & Crime Victims Compensation.

    • For those who lose jobs or are working on reduced hours, IA serves clients on 3 different sliding-scales, based upon the credential of the provider

  • IA can serve Texas residents statewide through remote services through any of these payment methods.
