Innovative Alternatives is finding solutions to life’s most difficult people problems through mediation, counseling and training, since 1989!

Counseling

Therapy is a process in which a trained professional helps individuals, couples, or families to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to improve self-awareness, mental health, well-being and productive interactions with one another. In therapy, clients can expect to gain insight into their own experiences, develop coping strategies for managing stress and difficult emotions, and work toward achieving their personal goals. Therapy can take many forms, including EMDR, supportive therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and play therapy for children, trauma resolution, among others.

It is an effective way to address a wide range of mental health concerns, from depression and anxiety to relationship issues and trauma.

Victim Services Advocate

A Crime Victim Advocate at Innovative Alternatives plays a critical role in supporting individuals who have experienced trauma due to violent crimes. They provide compassionate guidance and advocacy, ensuring victims are informed of their rights and available resources. This includes assisting with applications and processes, connecting victims to mental health counseling, and offering emotional support throughout their recovery. The advocate also works closely with law enforcement and other community resources to create a comprehensive support network, empowering victims to reclaim their lives and begin healing.

At Innovative Alternatives, these advocates are dedicated to restoring hope and resilience for those in need.

Mediation

Mediation promotes peaceful, effective, and thorough conflict resolution.  The process can be used in organizations large and small and for disagreements within the family, including conflicts between couples, parents & children, and blended families. The benefit of the transformative mediation model style is that it 1) invites all grievances to be brought to the light, 2) allows people opportunity to be heard, 3) enables forgiveness, 4) lets the parties create their own solutions, and 5) encourages them to agree on specific resolutions that are kept in confidence by the parties and mediators.

The goal is restoration.

I am so happy and blessed to have been referred to Innovative Alternatives. My therapist is wonderful, supportive, and has helped me in so many ways.
